Nicolas Le Moigne
Podium Shelf, 2011
Oak, lacquered wood
136 W x 36 D x 185 H cms
Edition of 3 plus 2 Artist's Proofs
The 'Podium' series is a wry commentary on the methods galleries and museums use to display furniture - i.e. on a plinth or podium. Le Moigne has chosen to amalgamate both the subject and this particular presentation format into one piece, ultimately creating a structure which is as precious as the object on display.
