Dezeen profiles Formafantasma's new 'Alphabet collection', a series of etched glassware that has been commissioned by The Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna and produced by Austrian Brand J. & L. Lobmeyr. The series was originally intended for a site-specific installation called 'The Stranger Within' at the Dinning Room of Geymüllerschlössel Castle and was showcased at Bagatti Valsecchi in Milan, April 2014.

The collection of engraved glasses and carafe consist of 12 designs that reference motifs found in both J. & L. Lobmeyr's archive and at the Geymüllerschlössel Castle, in which the museum is housed.

"The design highlights the pleasure of diversity within a set of objects while revisiting the rules of table setting," said Formafantasma.
