At the invitation of design historian Catherine Rossi, Fabien Cappello will speak at the Stanley Picker Gallery symposium The Languages of Making: Learning and Craft in Dialogue.
Organised around contemporary making practice and theory, other speakers included Christina Zetterlund (Konstfack, Stokholm), Maiko Tsutsumi (Camberwell College of Arts London) and Daniel Charny (Kingston Design School). The event allowed Cappello to give an insight into his practice, steeped in the designer's close contact with makers, the languages of materials and making processes.
