Julia Lohmann to speak at TEDx Albertopolis event, September 23, 2013

Julia Lohmann will be one of the speakers at the forthcoming 'TEDx Albertopolis' event, held at the Royal Albert Hall at 2 - 7pm on September 23, 2013. Lohmann will be discussing her residency at the Victoria & Albert Museum, which has seen her set up the 'Department of Seaweed', to challenge attitudes and offer a different perspective on the sustainability of materials such as seaweed.

 

The 'TEDx Albertopolis' will explore the history of 'Albertopolis', which originates from the Great Exhibition 1851, and the relationship between art and science. The talk, along with Lohmann, will also feature musicians, medics, entomologists, dancers and designers to share their perspective on the topic.
