British designer Simon Hasan is interested in the convergence of ancient crafts and industrial production processes. His work is imbued with a richness and texture borne from historical research, and a fascination for obscure crafts techniques. Having graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2008, Hasan has since developed his own production pieces for retail and continues to work on bespoke commissions, notably with luxury brands Fendi, Kvadrat and Linley. He is currently developing his own brand of production pieces for retail.

Hasan was part of the London Design Museum 2011 Designers in Residence programme, and has won several awards including the Mulberry Brillian Britian Award 2012 (Craft category) and a Wallpaper* Design Award 2012 for his bespoke leather mannequins for Fendi. The Crafts Council UK has since acquired a specially-commissioned mannequin for its permanent collection.

Hasan is a tutor at the Royal College of Art and a visiting lecturer at Kingston University.
