'Charcoal' by Formafantasma included in new book, 'Fetishism in Fashion', July 2013.

Formafantasma's project 'Charcoal' has been included in a new book titled Fetishism in Fashion, by Lidewij Edelkoort. First exhibited at Vitra Design Museum as part of the 'Confrontations' series, 'Charcoal' was the result of a collaboration with glass blower Massimo Lunardon and wood carver Doris Wicki to produce a collection of exquisite jars and filters. As Formafantasma have said of the project, "We drew inspiration from the tension between the dystopian connotation of charcoal, causing pollution and destruction, while also being employed in healthcare and water purification".

The book, published by Frame Publishers, delves into the world of contemporary fetishism to reveal an instinctive future for style and culture, and investigates the evolution of taste from birth to adulthood.
