Peter Marigold taking part in the Boisbuchet Workshop Programme, 28 July - 3 August 2013

Peter Marigold is leading the workshop 'Thinking Through Making' as part of this summer's workshop series at Domaine de Boisbuchet, France.

The participants of the workshop will create a pavilion somewhere in the forest where people can sit and think. All of its furniture and other contents will be made from simple materials that have been carefully taken apart and reformed. By engaging with these forms in the process of deconstruction, participants will arrive at an understanding of how much can be created from so little. This is their basis to generate new forms that answer the simple requirements of the pavilion and its users.

'Thinking Through Making' is part of a workshop series presented by Vitra Design Museum and the Centre Pompidou, and takes place at Domaine de Boisbuchet, a country estate in the southwest of France. The series of workshops are offered every summer under the direction of internationally recognised artists, designers and architects.

'Thinking Through Making' runs 18 July - 3 August 2013. Please visit www.boisbuchet.org/workshop-programs to register and for further details.
