'Oki Naganode' by Julia Lohmann on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Sept. 2013

'Oki Naganode', an installation by Julia Lohmann, will be available to view for London Design Festival, September 14 - 23 at the Victoria & Albert Museum. The display has been made by Lohmann as part of her current V&A residency entitled 'The Department of Seaweed'.

 

A type of Japanese seaweed, 'Oki Naganode' aims to showcase the potential and versatility of seaweed as a future design material. 'The Department of Seaweed' aims to showcase the connections between design, craft, science and research in developing this material.
