Elements Elements : Dick van Hoff

Dick van Hoff
19 September - 18 October 2009

With new commissions and works created specially for Gallery Libby Sellers, Dutch designer Dick van Hoff created a dramatic installation in the old Garage in North Terrace, South Kensington, for one month to include the London Design Festival and Design Art London/Frieze art fairs.

Self‐styled 'industrial tailor' Dick van Hoff is a versatile designer with a strong sense of material and form, coupled with a love of industrial and traditional manufacturing techniques. Having produced designs for companies including Droog and Rosenthal this was his first exhibition in the UK.

Works included new glass designs produced in association with the venerable Dutch manufacturer Royal Leerdam, robust and rigorous furniture designs and an edited selection of his ceramic studies for Royal Tichelaar Makkum, including the tile stove which was launched to great acclaim at the Milan Furniture fair in 2009.
