Born in London in 1974, Marigold first studied sculpture at Central St Martins before enrolling in Design Products under Ron Arad at the Royal College of Art in 2004. Marigold's fine art training, combined with a series of jobs in scenographic design and production - props, models, costumes and sets for theatre and exhibitions - has led to a pluralistic and resourceful approach to furniture design.

His inclusion in the London Design Museum's Design Mart exhibition of 2006 was followed by an Esmée Fairbairn bursary and an exhibition with the British Council as one of the 'Great Brits' at the 2007 Milan Furniture Fair. Marigold was a nominee for the Design Museum's 2008 Designs of the Years award and in June 2009 he received the Design Miami/Designers of the Future Award. Since then Marigold has gone to create designs for a number of European galleries and manufacturers and his work has been exhibited in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and Design Museum, Holon.
